Vic: Asylum-seekers' court action adjourned till later tonight

MELBOURNE, Aug 31 AAP - A group of Melbourne lawyers has brought legal action in the
Federal Court on behalf of the 460 asylum seekers on board the Norwegian ship Tampa.

Liberty Victoria, the former Victorian Council for Civil Liberties, has sought an injunction
preventing the Australian government from removing the asylum-seekers from Australian
territory.

The injunction before Federal Court Justice Anthony North has been adjourned until 7.15 pm today.
